The Secret Ingredient to Love with @AuthorNicMorgan #Romance #RB4U

Welcome to Romance Books 4 Us everyone. I'm your tour guide for the day, Nicole Morgan and as some of you may have noticed I drop by with a new post on the first of every month and either ramble like a fool or amaze you with my intellect. LOL. Okay, yes that last one was a stretch, but...I've got you smiling now, don't I? Now that you're good and loosened up, go ahead and kick your shoes off, sit back, relax and enjoy!

The Secret Ingredient to Love...

For the month of June, the authors of Romance Books 4 Us we have chosen the themes of the July birthstone, Ruby, the July flower, Larkspur and added to that the theme of Beach scenes/scenarios; music, movies, plays, books with beach settings. What do these things mean though, once combined together? For each of us we will probably have our own unique thoughts and ideas. And that's what I'd like to focus on for today's post.

Ruby is thought to be the gemstone which promotes friendship and love. And if there is one thing I think we can all agree on, it is that in order to love someone completely, they must also be our friend. Only with that type of connection with another can you truly be in love. Without it, its almost like an elemental ingredient would be lost on your entire relationship. The person who you choose for your partner should be the one you turn to when you're sad, the one you turn to when you're happy and the one who makes even the most monotonous of days and tasks so much better.

So, what's my message? It's simple... when finding "love" or even maintaining it, never forget to be a friend and keep that friendship alive. The physical attraction and connection with someone can only go so far. It is the emotional connection that keeps those home fires burning and the heart truly invested in one another.

If you're lucky enough to find love, respect it enough to nurture it. And above all else, cherish your friend, and love them fully... ❤

Lose the Stress and Relax with your Honey!

Lose the Stress and Relax with your Honey!

For today's topic I wanted to talk about Romantic Getaways. With the holidays sneaking upon us we will soon be making a mad dash for the store, decorating our homes, eating far too much and sleeping way too little. In the midst of this process we will most likely forget about the one we lean on the most, our partner. In between yelling over scotch tape, who took the cards to the post office and who was going to deal with Aunt Ellen (come on, we ALL have an Aunt Ellen) this year, we forget to take time for ourselves. Nurturing our relationships is so important. How else can they grow if we don't take care of them? So, to help make sure you don't forget about that special someone and how important they are to I have listed just a few (although there are many out there) places where you and your special someone can getaway from it all.

So get to packing! Away we go...

  • Eastlake Inn Bed & Breakfast: In St. Louis, the 20s era Eastlake Inn Bed and Breakfastoffers the sensual Magnolia Room, a space with a fireplace, dream bath, double showers and cathedral ceiling. The inn is surrounded by hundred year old trees, lush gardens and one acre of land. Eastlake is also close to many fine restaurants and quaint shops.

  • Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa: The Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa in Pennsylvania regularly hosts Couples Vacations, which are packed with sensual and bonding activities like couples yoga, a massage workshop, wine tasting, and sinful desserts. Active couples will be happy to know that the vacation also includes whitewater rafting, climbing, horseback riding and a shooting academy.

  • Villa Vera: Acapulco’s Villa Vera is known for its famous guests and luxurious villas.Stay in the Elizabeth Taylor Villa, where the star vacationed for almost twenty years, which comes with a private swimming pool, an outdoor bar and hydromassage tub. The hotel has its own fragrance, "Romance," made for luxuriating in the tub. The spa is popularly considered one of the finest in Acapulco, offering massages, wraps, facials and more.

  • Sugar Hill Inn: This New Hampshire getaway is full of rustic charm, lush greenery andbeautiful landscapes. The owners of the Sugar Hill Inn specialize in massage therapy and romantic cuisine. Nearby are the Franconia Notch, a gorgeous mountain range, and the Robert Frost Place.

  • Zara Spa: For couples seeking an exotic spa vacation, the Zara Spa in Jordan is anexcellent choice. Located inside the Movenpick Resort overlooking the shores of the Dead Sea, this spot is unlike any other. At the lowest point on earth, unwind in one of the spa’s thermariums or the Laconium. Some of their treatments include aromatherapy mud wraps and a foot massage pool.

Lose the Stress on Date Night - Make it FUN!

Lose the Stress on Date Night - Make it FUN!

For today's topic I wanted to talk about something that many of us can probably relate to, and something that I've touched on frequently in my Thirsty Thursday segments... I'm talking about ways to keep your relationship fresh, adventurous, spontaneous and most of all FUN!!!

With the summer months upon us, many of us will be taking advantage of the nice weather. We'll want to get out more, and enjoy the enticing time spring and summer. But, how many of us get caught up in the extravagance of dating? You can easily drop $100 just by going out to dinner and a movie these days. Personally there are a million other things I'd like to do than get all dressed up for some fancy dinner. Sure these romantic outings have their place, but you have to let loose and be carefree sometimes as well.

Below are a few things that you can do as a couple without breaking the bank.

  • Do you like guns? Why not go to the shooting range as a couple? One or two hours on the
range letting off some steam and practicing your skills are a great way to bond as a couple. Plus, who's to say you couldn't have a little wager? Maybe a bet over who gets the best shot. Then winner could get.... well, that part would be up for you two to decide.

  • Forget about those $200 seats behind the dugout. Go to the box office and buy a couple of
the cheap seats. Stop at the grocery store on the way to the ballpark and get your snacks at a fraction of the cost what you would pay in the ballpark. Pick up some peanuts, Cracker Jacks or whatever else you might crave. Bring enough cash for at least one meal item (hot dog, bratwurst, etc.) and a few drinks for each of you. Then while you're there, HAVE FUN! And don't forget to take a snap shot so you can remember the day!

  • Forget about the expensive golf clubs in the garage. Grab your honey and go to the local
miniature golf adventure course. This is also a place where you can have some fun with who has the better shot. After you've completed the course, do it again! RELATED TIP: Those little putters are good tools for goosing someone when they bend over. Just sayin' *winks*

  • Feeling hungry? Grab a bite to eat somewhere you've never been before. Don't go to the
same Italian place. Don't visit the same sports bar. Go to a diner, a cafe, something which is the opposite of fancy, the kind of place where the only frills is the person sitting right across from you. Then after dinner, don't rush home. Go for a drive and find somewhere to park! Turn up the music and see where the mood takes you. RELATED TIP: Watch for cops, some things are not okay in public. *winks*

  • This is the last one, but it's my favorite! Order dinner in. The meal doesn't matter. It could
be pizza, Chinese, sandwiches or wings! The food isn't the important part, but what you do is. Next, get a deck of cards or a board game. Again, the game doesn't matter, but how you use it will be. Although, I do recommend a game of Scrabble. Try it with only using flirty or sexual words! *winks* Once the dinner gets there start eating and let the games begin. Don't go too fast. Have fun and just like some of my other ideas above, don't forget to place a wager!

That's all for me this months, guys and gals.

Chaos and a Contest today with @AuthorNicMorgan

Welcome to Romance Books 4 Us everyone. I'm your tour guide for the day, Nicole Morgan and as some of you may have noticed I drop by with a new post on the first of every month and either ramble like a fool or amaze you with my intellect. LOL. Okay, yes that last one was a stretch, but...I've got you smiling now, don't I? Now that you're good and loosened up, go ahead and kick your shoes off, sit back, relax and enjoy!

Chaos and a Contest
Oh my besheesuz... why is it that whenever something goes wrong, Murphy (that pain in the tushy little law maker) decides that hey...you know what, I think I'll throw a few more wrenches into your day just to really screw with you? Well, Murphy has been doing that to me a lot lately. And I mean a lot. I'm normally a pretty positive person and try to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but come on...even I'm starting to lose a bit of my happy go lucky mojo. So this is my message to Murphy...cut the crap...I am a woman and I am prone to PMS and prone to bat-sh*t-idous so don't test me. *said with a sweet but dangerous smile*

To add to the chaos that has become my life, I am now running out the door to take my oldest to the doctor. Oh and did I mention I have a migraine? Yep! I mean does it get any better than that? But because I refuse to let anyone keep me down, I'm going to outwit Murphy by having a contest and spreading joy and happiness which I am sure will really stick it to him!

Nice try Murphy...I guess the April Fool's joke is on you! *victorious smile* So here goes...

**CONTEST**

From now until April 9th every person who comments below (with their email address will be entered to win 1 of 3 prizes - an eBook from my backlist of books

Happily Ever After Anyone?

Welcome to Romance Books 4 Us everyone. I'm your tour guide for the day, Nicole Morgan and as some of you may have noticed I drop by with a new post on the first of every month and either ramble like a fool or amaze you with my intellect. LOL. Okay, yes that last one was a stretch, but...I've got you smiling now, don't I? Now that you're good and loosened up, go ahead and kick your shoes off, sit back, relax and enjoy!

Happily Ever After Anyone?
Lately I've been witnessing people going through a rough time. You know, the ones who are wonderful people but have been handed more than their share of lemons and they haven't figured out how to make lemonade. At least not yet anyway. That's why I'm using today's post to revisit an oldie, but what I like to call a goodie. The below portion of my post is part of an earlier one I did right here on Romance Books 4 Us. Why am I reposting this, you ask? Well, since you did ask, I'll tell ya! *winks* Happily Ever After's don't grow on trees. And they're certainly not a fairy tale, so read this post and make sure that you know how to make an turn those lemons into the sweetest lemonade under the sun.

If only it were that easy, right? You could just stroll on into the local Love-Mart, peruse the different choices available to us in the life partner category, maybe add on a few last minute impulse buys they keep near the register like ‘extra charming’ or ‘devastatingly handsome.

Unfortunately no such “Mart” exists, and with the hustle and bustle of today’s fast paced world it’s hard to meet that person who will sweep us off our feet. A million different things can get in our way of finding that special someone who falls head over heels in love with us despite our many idiosyncrasies or flaws.

While all little girls have dreams of that prince charming who will swoop in and knock their glass slipper off, over time our image of him changes. Instead of having that almost porcelain look of perfection like we see in the fairy tales, we may now picture him with a rugged five o’clock shadow or maybe a tattoo here or hidden there.

Let’s face it we all can be pretty finicky with what we perceive to be out perfect mate. Is that realistic though? Are we ourselves perfect? Do we have the perfect body, the ideal shape, hair or eye color and look? One of the most amazing things about the human race is that we are all unique in our own special way. All of us, men and women alike come in different sizes, shapes and colors. The fact of the matter is the old adage “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” is truer than any of us may realize.

What if that one person who gives us butterflies, makes us feel like we’re floating on a cloud and gives us more love than we ever dreamed possible is right there underneath our noses, but merely come in a package which looks different than our minds eye had envisioned? What if we are so busy looking for perfection we are missing the beautiful opportunity before us? What if we take a moment and just look around? What if?

Don’t limit yourself with fantasies that really only belong on the pages of a fiction novel. The true happiness you find may be even better than what you hoped for.

That's all for me this months, guys and gals.
I'll see you here next month,
same bat time, same bat channel.

Until then you can tide yourself over with my winter anthology,
'Tis the Season for Seduction

#RB4U ~ Only 9 Months To Go!

Just 9 months to go...
Happy February everyone. For many February can be one of the most stressful months. Not only do we have a few less days than usual to get a whole months worth of work in, but we also have to rush around and find the perfect, most romantic and at the same time affordable gift for our Valentine. Which, let's face it...isn't always that easy. Well, for those who do suffer from Valentines woes, I have some tips over on my blog to help you out. However, that's not what my post is about. Today I'm talking about getting married!

A year and a half ago my younger guy (yes, I'm a cougar LOL. Would you like to hear me RAWR) finally decided it was time to settle down and proposed to me. This is the second marriage for the both of us and since I had the big wedding first I was more than willing to elope to Vegas. But, his marriage hadn't involved a big shin dig and he'd gotten married in front of the justice of the peace without his family. So...the big wedding idea was born. And that was when we started planning the wedding of both of our dreams.

For the first time in years I finally felt like I was getting that happily ever after that all little girls dream of. However, like with all fairy tales, real life gets in the way and slaps us upside the head like a migraine headache after a New Year's Eve drinking binge. As some of my friends know, due to some health issues within my family, we have postponed the wedding twice because it was important to us that we have all those we love so much there with us on our big day. In addition to that, Josh, a wonderful man who Zac and I both adored and was to perform our ceremony was killed in a car accident on December 26th. This was a devastating loss for his wife and children as well as those whose lives he touched, and made me realize even more just how precious life is.

Well, now that those health issues are starting to get better we now have a new date and only nine months to throw everything together. So, suffice it to say, I will be doing a lot of girlie things in the next several months. Not that I'm complaining. I'm actually starting to enjoy it. He has a way of making me feel young again. You know, when I ditch the walker and take my back pills. Ha! :-)

So for today's post, in this month dedicated to our special someone's I thought I'd share a few things of what we do have worked out for the wedding.

Here is a picture of the reception room and these are our colors as well.

Now that we have our table designs done, the place selected and a few other things checked off the list, that means we only have.... about a million other things to do. So have a good Valentines' Day everyone. I will be knee deep in Bride's Magazines and watching a whole lot of TLC's Say Yes to the Dress
