When Do You Quit Writing?

Sandra K. Marshall is author of The Riverboat Mysteries and some short stories, but she has started to give a lot of thought to not writing anymore.  Why is this you ask?  There are many reasons, and I'll list them below.

1.  It has become very painful to sit at the computer for hours (neck and shoulder pain).

2.  I'm having a difficult time focusing on writing primarily because of #1.

3.  I have lost my enjoyment of writing for more than one reason (not just because of #1).

4.  Promoting on social media is another reason I'm not enjoying writing.  I know I'm going to have to promote my new book when it's published.

5.  Not making enough money to justify publishing my work.

6.  It's getting difficult for me to make deadlines.

7.  Fibromyalgia and neuropathy from an injury in my early 20's is not helping my concentration (keep changing medication to try to get a grip on it)

All of this doesn't mean I'm going to give up writing entirely, but when I start again it will be at my own pace and when I feel like it.  I can endure sitting at the computer for a couple of hours to write, but not if I have to answer emails, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

What about you is it time to get away from the rat race?  Remember LaVyrle Spencer?  She was a New York Times best seller who quit at the height of her career to do something she really enjoyed, composing music.

I'm sorry to say this will be my last blog at Romance Books 4 Us.  I have enjoyed being one of the twenty authors doing a monthly blog, but I'm giving up this position.  It is my desire to try to keep up my weekly blog on my blog.  I intend to stay with Romance Books 4 Us Yahoo Group, but I'm going to go to daily digest, so I'll be one of those lurkers now.

Also, I'll be staying with my GIAMx2 Yahoo goals group to make sure I do some writing during the week.

Thank you for listening to me and good-bye.

What Makes Me a Raving Maniac?

Author, Sandra K. Marshall,  is certifiable.  Now, you ask what can do that to a normally strong woman.  lol  Technology is the answer.  I'm a published author and all I want to do is write.  Instead, I'm having to learn new technology and promote my latest short story.

Here's the new technology that has me raving.  It's Microsoft 8.1.  Actually, I'm going to say it's not as difficult as I'm making it out, but it is irritating to have your computer crash and buy a new one to find out everything you are familiar with isn't on the new one.

First, I will say if I had a smart phone, or at least knew how to use one I would have figured some of this stuff out faster.  Also, it would be nice if Microsoft provided a manual for their new 8.1, and then you wouldn't have to learn by experimenting.

One of the big things that irritated me is copying stuff and trying to paste into my old word processor (2003).  I finally figured I have to copy and paste into notepad, and then I can paste into my Word.  However, that isn't exactly easy either because wherever I'm coping from I have to right click to copy and then go to notepad and right click to paste.  I right click again in notepad, go to Word and go to edit to paste.  Simple, right?  Yes it is, if you knew that was how it's done in the first place.  Okay, I will admit after many tries Microsoft finally popped up and gave me the solution.  Why didn't they give it to me the first time?

Another thing I don't like that Microsoft has done is they have changed Windows Mail, but I'm sure some people like it even better, but I'm not one of them.  Microsoft wants you to have a password for every app you use.  I have three pages of passwords already, please give me a break.  Oh, I know it is for my own safety.  Grrr!  It just doesn't make me like it.  Frankly, I could have done without most of those apps, but everything has an app these days.

Okay, enough of my ranting.  Yes, I will learn this new technology in time.  It will just take me longer to learn everything than when I was young.  Believe it or not, I was a quick learner at one time.  lol   One more thing, don't get too comfortable with 8.1 because I hear 9 is coming.  Grin!  Doesn't that just make your day?

Moving on to some promo.  Something else, I don't like to do, but has to be done.  My short story, All Bets Are Off, came out in audio during this mess.  Here is the link for it if you prefer to listen to your stories rather than read them.

Interview with Romantic Suspense Author, Sandra K. Marshall

Please welcome, Sandra K. Marshall, romantic suspense author, at Eirelander Publishing.

Thank you for inviting me to be interviewed on your blog, Romance Books 4 Us. It's a pleasure to be here, but before I forget there is a giveaway listed below.  Good luck everyone!

Giveaway Alert: Someone who leaves a comment will receive a RB4U T-shirt, size XL:) Be sure to leave your email address with your comment. Note: We only ship to US or Canada.

BIO: Sandra has always been the adventurous type. To satisfy her adventurous spirit, she went to work for a major airline, so she could travel.  She spent thirty-six years working in the airline industry, and did extensive travel during that period. It was a lovely time in her life working for a wonderful company.  She started writing in 1988, and in 1999 she retired to write full time and worked seriously toward publication, but didn't get published until 2008.

She's published with Eirelander Publishing, http://www.eirelanderpublishing.com and she's on a different type of journey.  It's a fun ride.  She believes in living life and not letting anyone deter you from doing it.

1. How did you celebrate publishing your first book?
I emailed everyone I knew, published the news on all the Yahoo sites I belonged to, called friends and family and hubby took me out to dinner.

2. Your novel is being made into a TV series/movie. Who’s in your dream cast?
Jimmy Kimmel looks like the image of Mike Mercer, but Jimmy isn't an actor he's a comedian, and Mike Mercer is a serious guy.  Melanie could be a young Gwyneth Paltro.

3. What’s your writing schedule like? Do you strive for a certain amount of words each day?
I try, but it's impossible.  Some days I can't write anything because I'm needed elsewhere.

4. What is the most important thing you do for your career now, as compared to when you first started writing?
I have a blog, website and I do a lot of promoting on social media.

5. How much of yourself is hidden in the characters in the book?
I think there's something of me in almost every character even Melanie, who has been a real pain in the butt for her mother.

6. Of all your characters, who’s your favorite, and why?
This is really tough.  I like all the characters in my Riverboat Mysteries trilogy.  It might be the villain in Addiction because I made him so despicable.  It was really fun to write him.

7. If you could change something about your first book, what would it be?
My first book in the Riverboat Mysteries trilogy was The Catalyst.  I loved this book because I used my mother as a role model for the heroine, although my mother was stronger.  I listened to too many people about this story, and it was so over edited.  I think I would have made Carolyn stronger.

8. Do you eat comfort food/listen to music when writing?
Usually, I don't eat and I need absolute quiet when writing.

9. How do you choose names for your characters?
I wish I could say I was as creative as some authors are, but I use a baby book and the telephone book.

10. Covers. Ever get one you wish you could change?
OMG, yes.  It was one I made.  Horrible!

11. Give one advice tip to an aspiring author.
Learn everything you can, ask questions about what other authors tell you if you don't understand and never quit.  I was very dumb, I listened, but I didn't understand half of what I was told.  I should've asked what people meant by what they told me.

12. If you could give a younger version of yourself advice, what would it be?
Nothing!  I lived my life the way I wanted to, and I loved every minute of it.  If I had started writing sooner as some authors say, I wouldn't have traveled as much, nor had the experiences I had.

13. What genre would you like to try writing that you haven’t yet tried?
I wouldn't mind trying a political or espionage thriller, but I think it's beyond my scope.

14. Have you ever used an incident from your real life into one of your books?
Yes, I have, but I'm not telling which ones.

15. Any part of a book that drives you crazy as you write: beginning, middle, or end?
The beginning is usually easy because the idea for the story is fresh in my mind and the words flow.  After that it gets tougher because, although, you know where the story is suppose to go it's tough to write it on paper.

16. Out of your entire backlist, which book has the best opening line? What's the line?
The Catalyst - Where is the devil?  There are others, but this one is my first book.

17. How many stories are swirling around in your head? Do you keep a mental list, a computer file, or a spiral notebook filled with the ideas?
I'm constantly coming up with ideas.  I used to write them down and put them in my recipe box, but now I have a computer file.

Fun Stuff:
1. What is your favorite holiday and why?

All holidays are wonderful, but one of my favorites is the 4th of July.  It's warm and there are carnivals with rides and all kinds of food.  Its fun and you can get outdoors.  lol I'm so ready for winter to go away.
2. What are two things people might be surprised to know about you?

I spent nine months working at a riverboat casino doing research, I'll be seventy this year and I ride on the back of my seventy-eight year old husband's motor scooter.  Okay, that's three.  lol
3. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a spy.  That is until I read some books about real spies.  The idea of having my eyelids removed, lashes plucked, finger and toenails being pulled from my hands and feet nixed that idea.  lol   Later, I wanted to be an architect, a lawyer and many other things.
4. Favorite food.  Chinese (American style) and deluxe nuts.

5. Favorite happy memory.  I loved going to grandma's house after church on Christmas Eve.  The Christmas tree was lit up in the picture window and it was beautiful.
6. Favorite drink.  Margaritas

7. Hot summer days or chilly winter nights?  Both, if I'm not uncomfortable.  There are good things about both.
8. What is the top thing on your bucket list?  There are always more things I want to do.  Everything!  Smile!

9. If you could have a super power, what would it be?  It would be great to use my mind to make people well, to have peace and to transport myself anywhere I wanted to go.

Blurb for The Deceived:
The games they play can lead them to love or ruin.

Melanie Dubois detests her family’s casino business. The way this addiction destroys people has her on a tear of magnificent proportions. Then again, this young lady has been put through a train wreck of her own design. She distrusts everybody except for the people who are determined to use Melanie as a poster-child for zealots.
Mike Mercer has spent nearly a year in a deep cover mission for the FBI. The one fly in the ointment of completing his objective to take down a group of dangerous anti-gambling zealots is a fiery-tempered, blonde-haired woman named Melanie DuBois. Worse than that, she’s got a passion brewing just beneath the surface that’s an even deadlier attraction.

Fighting for your life is never easy when the odds are stacked against you.

Excerpt:
Mike Mercer stood to the side watching Melanie Dubois talk to the news media. She was a piece of work, but he had to admit she had a hot body. He sighed crossing his arms over his chest as he leaned against his dark blue sedan, trying to blend in with the crowd. He wasn’t here to seduce her; even though her feistiness appealed to him, making him wonder what kind of lover she’d be. He was here to get her away from these people.
He would have to question her motives in front of the picketers and the media, so if she decided to go with The Opposition Group, Janet Batten and her followers, she wouldn’t be suspected of collusion with him. The confrontation might be fun, but more than likely he was going to get a tongue lashing. His lips curled up at the thought.

Hopefully, his cover hadn’t been discovered. He didn’t need these fanatics knowing he was FBI. A sloppily dressed journalist glanced toward Mike. Here was his opening.

Mike heaved himself away from the fender and strode into the center of the crowd. Once he reached Melanie, he grasped her shoulder, saying, "What the hell are you doing here? This is no place for you."

Mel whirled around, jerking away from his touch. "Just who are you telling me what I can or can not do?"

He grinned down at the spitting feline image of tawny blonde hair swirling around her face. "Well, it sure looks like someone should take control of you," he said. Pausing, his gaze roamed down her body, before he added, "But for your information I’m not telling you how to behave, I’m asking a question." What he needed was an excuse to get her away from this bunch, but there wasn’t one.

"What I’m doing here is none of your business."

"What is your connection to Melanie Dubois?" the journalist asked, sticking the microphone in front of Mike’s face.

"The only link between us is that I’m on the board of the Odyssey casino." He glanced at Melanie. "There’s no way your family would want you here."

"Why would I care about someone who doesn't love me?"

"I doubt that’s true." What made her think that? Surely, she didn’t believe all the crap her father told her about her mother having an affair and that she was the result of that fling. "Don’t you even want to know what’s happening with your sister?"

"It’s all over the news, how can I miss it?"

Janet moved up beside them, putting her arm protectively around the young girl. "Stop harassing her, or I’ll call the police."

Melanie didn’t know everything that was going on because the FBI told the media only what they wanted them to know. What would the younger woman think if she knew the FBI had used her sister as bait to catch the serial killer terrorizing the area? Her hostility would be nothing compared to what it would be if she learned that detail.

There was nothing he could do right now, Batten would use Melanie for her own ends until the older woman had no further use for her. He glanced behind him, noticing people closing in on him. Even though he saw Dan Travis, the light brown-haired ATF agent, there wouldn’t be any help there. He’d never break his cover either.

Hell, he’d better get out of here.

"You’re a big girl; you can make your own decisions." He gazed into large blue eyes filled with distrust and shaded by long black mascara covered lashes. It saddened him to see her wasting her womanhood on their cause because they weren’t after the same thing she was. She wanted to save people, and they wanted to destroy them. "‚I just hope you don’t regret those decisions later."

With a nod at the journalist and one more glance at Melanie, he turned and leisurely walked toward his car. He kept an eye on the man with the scar. That guy was a bad ass, and he had a record as long as his arm to prove it. Al Slavery was the dangerous one in the bunch. The others were nothing but drones.

Is Point of View Difficult For You?

When I first started writing, point of view (pov) was pounded into me, but I still didn't get it.  Even though pov was explained to me, and I understood I still wanted to head hop all over the place.  Once in a while, I still do pov change in the middle of a scene or a paragraph.

Here's my theory of why so many have trouble with pov:  When you have two or three characters together in a scene you want to go into their heads immediately to tell the reader what they are thinking.  We want to tell our reader everything; we want them to understand how each character feels at that exact moment.

Once I learned about action/reaction I knew the best way to handle point of view is to show each individuals reactions to what is being said but just stay in one person's head at a time.  This way the reader has one pov but knows by the actions/reactions of the other people in the scene what they are thinking.

Did you have trouble with point of view, and if so what helped you keep from head hopping?

Have a great weekend.

Why Read Fiction?

Good Morning,

First of all, I must admit I've used this blog before, but I think it's a topic worth discussing again.

Why read fiction . . . it has no redeeming value.  It has no basis in truth.  So why read something that never happened?

Fiction is considered imaginary and made-up whereas non-fiction is supposed to be factual and indisputable.  I am a writer of fiction.  The ideas for my stories come from real life, so that element has to be realistic.

For example, my story, ADDICTION, is made of truth and fiction.  The heroine is being stalked by a serial killer, she has low self-esteem and is an alcoholic.  All of these things are real, they happen.  The difference is in how they play out, but even in real life the heroine can survive the killer and gain self-esteem.  She would always be an alcoholic but she can conquer the disease by staying away from those beverages.

All authors write stories about life even if they are other genres such as sci-fi, paranormal, westerns, fantasy, etc.  Even comic books have had some of greatest ideas that eventually came to life.

The hero in ADDICTION is handsome, Irish and a FBI agent.  He understands women because he has younger sisters, and he wants to protect the heroine.  Do you think this is stretching the truth?  Maybe, but haven't you known men like him?  I have.

Many people like to escape real life and others want to see life turn out differently from the one they live.  It's all the matter of the choices we make and this holds true of the hero and heroine in my story.

I think people who only read non-fiction tried a couple of fiction books, they would be pleasantly surprised.  I have read both and enjoy both.

I'm posting a blurb and a excerpt from ADDICTION below.

Blurb for Addiction

Two men are after the same woman but for very different reasons.

Dark-haired beauty, Jolene Dubois has a serious problem, and it's not just battling alcoholism.  Late at night, she receives whispered calls.  "Jolene, I want you.  I'm coming for you."  Shivers climb up her spine and ice flows in her veins.  What does he want?  Who is it?  She must figure it out before she trusts the wrong person.

Jake Farrell, the handsome rogue is an operator with women, but is he hiding something dark and sinister under his cheery facade.  The detective, Andy Martin, who investigated her father's murder, continues to ask her out.  Les Voodré, an alcoholic she met at AA follows her everywhere, and Ron Keisler, her AA sponsor is always there when she needs him.  Could her caller be one of these men?

To further complicate her life, she fights a host of addictions, alcoholism, smoking, gambling and sex.  Jolene is determined to beat the alcohol and to stay out of the clutches of the fiend who phones her.

Excerpt:

Ring. Ring.
Her heart pounded frantically. Jolene pushed her covers off and jumped out of bed, her gaze on the clock. Four o’clock in the morning. She had a caller. Horror pulsed through her veins, and then she grabbed her purse.
        It can’t possibly be him.
      Come on, Jolene, answer it.
Her hands shaking, she dug in her purse pulling out the cell phone and flipping it open. “Hello.” He’d blocked the caller ID.
“What took you so long, Jolene?” a muffled voice asked.
She tightened her grip on the cell. No. How did he get this number?
“Come on, speak to me. I know you’re there,” the whisperer said in a low raspy voice. “Don’t make me come in there.”
“What do you want?” He knew where she was. How could he? “How did you get this number?” she demanded, rubbing her palm on the pale floral bed cover. Was he outside? She wanted to hang up, but that never worked. He’d call all night then.
“Jolene, I’m disappointed in you. You were around too many people tonight for me to get to you.”
She rose and walked to the window, feeling cold in spite of her olive green cotton pajamas. If only he’d talk in a normal tone, she might recognize the voice. “Why are you harassing me?” she asked, sliding the light green curtain aside so she could peek out. There weren’t any new cars parked on the street, but he could’ve parked anywhere and be outside the house.
“I thought we were friends. Don’t you like it when I tell you all the things I’m going to do to you?” He cackled loud and long.
His maniacal laughter sent shivers up her body, and she wrapped her free arm around her waist. Did she know this person? Surely, she didn’t know anyone like this except for Les. That guy was just downright crazy. Quiet.
She held her breath and listened. Was he still there? No sound. He must’ve hung up. Softly, she started to close her cell.
“Don’t hang up on me, Jolene.”
Startled, the phone slipped out of her grasp, but she scrambled to catch it. The darn thing hit the thick beige carpeted floor. Down on her knees, she grabbed the cell, putting it to her ear.
“Hello.” The buzzing told her she’d lost him. What would he do now? Call her back. She stared at the phone, her shoulders hunched, and the tendons in her neck tightening.
After a few moments, she rose, went to her bed and climbed in pulling the covers around her. She knew she wouldn’t sleep, but she didn’t want to wake her sister or call her brother to talk to him. This was her problem to take care of. She would call the police later this morning and make a report.
    Ring. Ring.
Jolene grabbed the phone; she knew it was him again. She’d made him mad by hanging up on him even though it had happened accidentally. Without saying anything, she listened, hoping it wasn’t him.
     “Don’t ever do that again.”
The loud click told her he was finally gone. Her hand shook so badly she could hardly reach the oak end table to lay her cell on it. She’d never sleep the rest of the night. She had to figure out who this person could be.
The only person she knew this crazy was Les, but she didn’t know how he could’ve gotten her numbers. She’d never met him before tonight.
Pulling the covers over her head, she burrowed deeper into the bed. She’d always been afraid of the boogie man, and now he was really after her.

The Work Habits of an Author

First, I'll be honest, I have used this blog before at my site. It's been a long time because some things have changed since I first wrote it.

Most mornings, I'm up by 7:30 (there are exceptions both earlier and later), I fix breakfast for my hubby and wash the dishes. Next, I fix my coffee and take a pill waiting thirty minutes before I can have breakfast. During this time I check email, visit Facebook, check MySpace, Twitter and Ning to read more messages and answer them. After that, I have breakfast and wash up the dishes.

Next, I shut down my main computer and boot up my laptop because that's where I do my real work. Write. I never read email or send email from my laptop. I do try to work on my website and blog from my laptop, so I won't be interrupted.

I re-read my work from the day before and make changes if needed, then I write. If I have two to four hours to write in, I consider that a good day. It's rare that I can write all day, but once in a while I'm able to, and then I'm ecstatic. There are times when nothing gets done due to life's interruptions.

It takes me a half hour to write one page, so if I write for two hours I can get four pages done. It's rare if I get eight pages done because it's hard to carve out that much time to write in.

Here are other authors work habit:

Author, Scott Spencer:

I work every day, from ten in the morning till I'm done with my pages. I try not to write beyond a certain point. It's my experience that if I write too much in one day it kills a couple of days work for after that. I like to keep myself to three or four pages a day.

Author, Gore Vidal:

First coffee. Then a bowel movement. Then the muse joins me.

LOL I had to laugh at that one.

Here are two quotes by James Thurber:

My usual method. . .is to spend the mornings turning over the text in my mind. Then in the afternoon, between two and five, I call in a secretary and dictate to her. I can do about two thousand words. It took me about ten years to learn.

I never quite when I'm not writing. Sometimes my wife comes up to me at a party and says, "Dammit, Thurber, stop writing." She usually catches me in the middle of a paragraph.

My belief is that everyone works differently, but we all have to write. There's no getting away from it even if we wanted to. Writers write, we may be unhappy writing, but we're even unhappier not writing. My husband started me on this path, and he had no idea the monster he was creating. Smile.

Author, H.G. Wells:

There comes a moment in the day, when you have written your pages in the morning, attended to your correspondence in the afternoon, and have nothing further to do. Then comes the hour when you are bored; that's the time for sex.

This was another quote that amused me. Smile.

Author, Truman Capote:

I am a completely horizontal author. I can't think unless I'm lying down, either in bed or stretched on a couch and with a cigarette and coffee handy. I've got to be puffing and sipping. As the afternoon wears on, I shift from coffee to mint tea to sherry to martinis.

Author, Annie Dillard:

I work mornings only. I go out to lunch. Afternoons I play with the baby, walk with my husband, or shovel mail.

As you can see everyone has different work habits. What is yours? This question is not just for writers, everyone is welcome to share their schedule.

That's all for today.

Fool Me Twice

Hi Everyone,

I'm so sorry to be so late. I totally forgot I was supposed to post a blog today.

Today, I want to tell you a bit about the duet, Fool Me Twice, written by fellow author, Sandra Sookoo and A Fool's Fool by me, Sandra K. Marshall.

Blurb for Remembering Andy Devastated after her fiancé dies in Iraq, Claudia Foster packed up her life and moved to the city of Indianapolis. She wants to lose herself in the noise, sights and sounds of a place so foreign from her upbringing that nothing could remind her of her guilt surrounding Andy’s death. But fate has other plans.

Daniel Sorenson has put all thoughts of his brother Andy’s death from his mind just to get through the day yet running into Claudia again stirs up all the hidden feelings he has struggled so hard to hide. How can you love the girl who was supposed to marry your dead brother? As the two share their grief, they also share something deeper: laughter.

But is it enough? Or will they spend their whole lives simply remembering Andy and never embrace the love that could be theirs if only they could have the courage to reach for it.

A Fool's Fool blurb

What Kind of Environment Do You Like to Work In

Today, I have two questions for you, and they apply to anyone who works. First one, what kind of environment do you prefer to work in?

Here are some sample answers from authors below to get you thinking.

I need noise and interruptions and irritation: irritation and discomfort are a great starter. The loneliness of doing it any other way would kill me.
Anita Brookner

The actual process of writing. . .demands complete, noiseless privacy, without even music; a baby howling two blocks away will drive me nuts.
William Styrom

When I worked full-time at Trans World Airlines, my work space was always neat. Everything was either hidden away or stacked in neat little piles where I could what I needed easily. As an author and looking at my desk this minute: Total chaos reins here. lol I swear I'm going to organize it soon.

Second question is do you need a view while you work?

Again, there are some interesting answers.

I like a room with a view, preferably a long view. I dislike looking out on gardens. I prefer looking at the sea, or ships, or anything which has a vista in it.
Norman Mailer

The ideal view for daily writing, hour on hour, is the blank brick wall of a cold-storage warehouse. Failing this, a stretch of sky will do, cloudless if possible.
Edna Ferber

Again when I worked at TWA there was constant chatter, telephones ringing, etc., but as a writer I can't work unless it's absolutely quiet. My desk is in front of the window and the blinds are open, so I can see outside when I'm stumped instead of looking at a blank page on the computer screen. The daily changes in weather can forecast the scenes for my stories, especially, if they are set in that season.

Okay, I've told you what I have needed to work in two different environments and given you samples of author environments now it's your turn.

See you next month.

BLOGMANIA CONTEST

Hi Everyone,

Tomorrow, April 30th is the big blogmania contest. I hope you'll start with my blog, http://www.sandramarshallblog.blogspot.com and enjoy and all day shopping spree right in your own home.

1. Be at any of the blogs participating in the Blogmania Event as early as possible on April 30th. The easiest way to find a Blogmania Blog is to look for the Blogmania Badge.

2. This is an international event, so understand that there will be some differences in time zones. My advice is to start early and stay late to catch all the blogs.

3. Each blog will have their own giveaway requirements. Read them carefully, follow through, and then move on as quickly as possible. If you run across a blog that you really like and want to spend some time exploring, copy their URL and then visit them after Blogmania is over.

4. We will have a 100+ blogs for you to visit. Each one will post their number like this. ( This is blog 47 of 100) This is to help you keep track of which blogs you’ve visited, and which ones you still need to reach. I’d suggest that you prepare a blog sheet which is numbered from 1 – 120, then mark off each numbered blog as you visit them.

5. All blog links provided will also have a number like (Blog 89 of 100). Look for the blogs that you haven’t yet visited and follow those links until you’ve checked off all the blogs on your sheet.

6. We have all types of blogs participating in Blogmania, which means that the range of items in their giveaways are diverse. I have previewed many and they are awesome.

7. Why not contact a friend and partner up. Compare notes, share loot, or organize your own friendly neighborhood Blogmania Competition.

Best of luck everyone.
