Thoughts From a Casino

Greetings from Sin City!

I'm on one of the very few vacations I take, but one I love. Every year about this time I use the bright lights, no holds barred vibe of Las Vegas rip the residual holiday tension from around my psyche in a blur of money lost, alcohol consumed and sometimes bad choices made.

Yep, I go full Vegas while here, taking in strip clubs, shows, over priced dinners and resort massage therapies, you name it. I don't gamble much but when I do I typically manage to lose a butt load of money in the process.

Yep, full-bore Vegas.

I love it so much I wrote a novel more or less based there: Vegas Miracle, using my love of the fancier, understated new resorts like the Aria and Cosmopolitan to tickle my muse's fancy.

It's a buzz this place, and the strange sensation of staying at a resort this time with a dang roller coaster running through it brings and added edge of crazy to the whole thing.

So forgive a girl a short, mostly useless blog post.
banner for the series--isn't it awesome??

I'm on vacation, at least for another day. But of course have used the time in between debauchery wisely, working through edits on my Realtors Series, finalizing cover art for it AND my upcoming brewery based novella "Cheeky Blonde".
yeah, that says "book 3" we are struggling with book 2...

No rest for the wicked.

cheers
Liz

Love Vegas. My husband and I used to live about 110 miles from it (high desert California) and we'd go there for lunch. Awesome. Your books sound great, Liz. :)

Hey, Liz, love the covers. I'm a fan of Vegas, too. The glitter, the lights and everything about it. It's been years since I've been out there though.

I have a trilogy titled, The Catalyst, Addiction and The Deceived that are about the riverboat casinos in the mid-west. I found gambling a fascinating subject.

Sandy--riverboat gambling eh? cool. will check 'em out. I have spent the "gambling budget" already. gotta find something to do today--gonna check out the hot new "Cosmopolitan" casino resort methinks.

Have fun in Vegas! I've never been there, since Atlantic City isn't far from home, but it's definitely on my bucket list.

Best of luck with your series!
