I've been locked out on my computer all day, and it's taken this long for my computer guru to get it running again... SORRY, guys I've had my blog ready for days. AARRRGHHH!

Bragging and Blogging

I get upset when I see blogs that are almost all promo, and here I am about to do the same thing! I went through a true writer’s slump after my husband died last year. I never had one before, but this one was a doozy. When I got through the worst of it I tried to start writing again and found I was spewing out nothing but trash. I worked on the book I had almost finished, Quest for Magic. And re-worked it. No good. I finally decided that for the first time in my writing life I needed help, and asked Lee Pearce to collaborate. She did a wonderful job, taking the story I’d written to new heights. It’s about to come out on this Saturday.

Not only that, but this jump-started me. Quest for Magic is no. five in my Mage series, and Passion in Print is printing not only Quest, but the next three that follow, rounding out the series to the eight books I originally planned. Here’s the blurb and an excerpt. For many reasons, this book means a lot to me.

EXCERPT:
Then she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him with all the enthusiasm he could desire.

Her hot and sultry voice reached his every bone. "So show me, Jono. Show me everything I don't know. I've wanted to kiss you for the longest time."

"I shouldn't do this," she muttered. "But I've missed you so."

Jono stared into the eyes that mesmerized him from the moment he'd seen her. If he hadn't already been completely aroused those eyes alone would stiffen him.

"I'll never force you, Hayley. In any way. Unless you want it, I won't make another move."

She drew back, a slight smile quirking her lips. "That doesn't sound like the Lothario I'd expected."

"Which do you want, Hailey? Me, or the mythical lover in your mind?"

"I want you," she wailed. "Not the legendary Lothario. But I can't forget all those other women."

"Hayley, look at me." His voice shook with intensity. "I won't deny I've had other women, although not as many as you probably think. But I've never wanted anyone like I want you. I think I fell in love with you on sight."

As she stared at him, he continued with a sincerity he hoped she could not mistake.

"I've loved you from the moment I saw you. No, even before. When I first heard your beautiful voice."

She still looked doubtful and he leaned down and captured her lips again.

"Hayley, Hayley, let me show you my love for you. I've never told another woman I loved her. Never. I adore you, Hayley. You've put a song in my very soul."

He wanted so badly to give her pleasure. He longed to show her she meant the world to him. He wanted her to recognize he was essential to her and to know it with every fiber of her being. He'd never desired any woman the way he desired her. And above all he wanted every move he made to be one pleasing to her.

She drew back, leaning against the circle of Jono's arms. Looking deep into his eyes, he felt as if she saw directly into his loving and regretful soul. Regretful that he'd ever spent one minute on another woman and couldn't come to her as pure as she was coming to him.

Then she threw her arms around his neck and kissed him with all the enthusiasm he could desire.

Her hot and sultry voice reached his every bone. "So show me, Jono. Show me everything I don't know. I've wanted to kiss you for the longest time."

Sorry, again, but my computer is still acting up and I can't post the excerpt. Will post it on the loop tomorrow when my guru gets this straightened out. None of the tricks Marianne sent me are working. Jean

Jean, congratulations on your release. I certainly understand why you had a hard time writing. Good luck to you.

You had a serious reason to be in a slump...how courageous of you to get going again.
Now, keep writing!

I know how you feel about your computer, Lee. Yesterday (Wed) my email went down and it's still not up. My server - ipower.com - keeps promising to fix it, but I'm beginning to lose hope.

Don't you just hate tech stuff sometimes? Grrrrr.

Oops, sorry Jean - my computer has a very dark screen and I only saw Lee's name on the cover, not yours. Sorry about your hubby's passing. That's so hard. Hope things get easier for you soon.

To all your wonderful people who sent me sympathy, didn't mean to dump on you. I'm doing very well, have a wonderful daughter who could give more support. Have just had my fourth book accepted this year, so I'm definitely writing again.
