ROMANCING THE VINES AT FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA WINERY

AH! THE DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES!

Is it possible to have too much of a good thing? We don't think so. What could be better but meeting 13 NYT, USA and bestsellling romance authors, sipping wines and having chocolate desserts, while wandering the stunning grounds of Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Geyserville, California? Wine Country is so stunning, we celebrate Valentine's Day the entire month!

This is a new venture for me. Normally relegated to my pajamas in an isolated cave for writing love stories that will hopefully last for generations, I'm trying something completely different.

I'm happy to announce the first-ever Romancing The Vines book signing event I'm hosting this Saturday, February 20, 2016, from Noon - 5 PM. You can meet these wonderful authors:

Susan Stoker
Catherine Bybee
Marina Adair
Kathryn LeVeque
Carolyn Jewel
Tiffany Snow
Diana Orgain
Chris Keniston
Lori Ryan
Kate Douglas
Lisa Hughey
Pamela Gibson
Sharon Hamilton

For a complete writeup on each author and their books, their bios and story blurbs, click here.

In addition to the pouring of world-class wines, the Francis Ford Coppola Winery is host to movie sets from several of the famous director's movies, including the Godfather desk, the Tucker car used in the movie Tucker, and the infamous Bride costume and Red Knight costumes from Dracula.

I spend a significant amount of my income at this winery on a monthly basis and I have to say no one does it quite with the flair, panache and classiness as this winery. Everything about the event location is over the top.

So, if you're in Wine Country, Sonoma County, California, come on up to Geyserville, get an extra groove on your Valentine's Week, come celebrate the fruits of our love stories and the bounty of great wine vintages and views to forever. We promise not to disappoint.

We have created a Facebook page here, and you can obtain ticketing information here, or just stop by and enjoy! See you there.

True Blue SEALs - To infinity and beyond!

Honeymoon Bite on KU
I also write paranormal, but lately my paranormal ventures are like some of the grafts on my 4-way apple tree. Each variety on that tree grows well, but at different levels of vigor. We grow Gravenstein apples here in Sonoma County (Wine Country), that those trees would probably grow if you stuck the prunings into the ground. They'd sprout and take root and bear consistent fruit, just like in Mexico or the Caribbean, where people put sticks into the ground and then have bouganville vines large enough to cover their houses in one year. My Golden Delicious graft grows well. My Granny Smith apples are wonderful too. But then there's this little Rhone Red apple, and that branch grows about 3" a year. So, around this time of year, when I prune, I cut the other three way back, and just give the Rhone a kiss and clip the tip off the end, barely taking 1/2". After 8 years, I'm still waiting for my first apple, while the Gravenstein and Golden Delicious get so many the branches break.

My writing tree has three branches, and, unlike my apple, one is a runaway success and two others limp along. I have avid fans who have to wait too long for the next book. The sales of these Guardian Angels and Golden Vampires of Tuscany series are nowhere near the health of my SEAL Brotherhood franchise.
Heavenly Lover on KU

I've known authors who lose interest in their most popular series and start writing things that cause them to lose fans. Indeed, when I last published a Guardian Angel book in 2014, some of my fans wrote me in a panic and begged me not to give up on the SEALs. I had no intention of doing so, and was actually touched people thought enough to comment.

But every once in awhile I start wandering down the bookstore shelves, looking for another good paranormal series. I don't have the time to read anymore, especially when I'm finishing a book, which seems like all the time now. Maybe some day I'll find a way to blend these two categories into one, without having my fans feel I've abandoned or corrupted my hunky all-American heroes. I mean, have you ever read about a 4th of July unabashedly patriotic vampire or guardian angel lately?

I didn't think so.

Releasing 2-20-16
Not to worry, my next SEAL book, True Blue SEALs: Zak, is coming out February 20th, on preorder now. It's keeping me up at night finishing and editing it. But, rest assured, although these guys love red meat, there's not a fang or feather in sight.

Blurb:

Zak and Amy are destined for each other. After successfully passing the BUD/S training, and helping to stop a San Francisco terrorist attack, Zak goes to the arena of war with the rest of his SEAL Team 3 buddies, to return a changed man. Amy will have to negotiate the pain in her heart as she works to discover the man she loved going off to war is still the man of her dreams, and only if she can convince Zak he still is that man.

Join us for the first annual author reader get-together, Romancing The Vines, at Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Geyserville, California, February 20th from Noon to 5. Reader tickets can be purchased here
