It's that time again...

Welcome to Romance Books 4 Us everyone. I'm your tour guide for the day, Nicole Morgan and as some of you may have noticed I drop by with a new post on the first of every month and either ramble like a fool or amaze you with my intellect. LOL. Okay, yes that last one was a stretch, but...I've got you smiling now, don't I? Now that you're good and loosened up, go ahead and kick your shoes off, sit back, relax and enjoy!
It's that time again...
What am I talking about, you ask? Christmas! That's right. Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is right around the corner and then it's that one holiday which is sure to make everyone go just a wee bit crazy. If it's not the baking, the cooking, the shopping or the wrapping there are countless other chores that we fill our to-do lists with in order to keep up with the demand of giving our families the perfect Christmas. For those who don't celebrate Christmas there are other holidays, such as Kwanzaa and Hanukkah. Regardless of your faith or what you practice and celebrate we usually have pretty tall orders to fill.

But, what if it wasn't like that? What if we went back to a time when it wasn't about money or getting the best bargain?

Remember that feeling when your heart warmed not because of the expensive latte, but because of the people you were with.

I try not to consider myself old, but in these days where everyone is trying to keep up with the Joneses I can't help but wonder if maybe I am. Maybe I've finally become that woman who grumbles about having to walk uphill in the snow both ways with no shoes. LOL. Well, I did walk in the snow. That part is at least true.

Looking back over my Christmases I can recall a gift that filled me with more happiness than any of those big ticket items. It was a paper and macaroni ornament painted gold. It had a red string tied haphazardly at the top and was given to me in a crooked and mangled piece of wrapping paper which had more tape on it than necessary. I still have that ornament today and it still brings a smile to my face every time I see it.

What about all of you? What was your special gift that cost little or nothing, but meant more than all the money in the world?

Nicole Morgan is an author of erotic romance novels, which more often than not have a suspenseful back story. Erotic romance mixed with good old-fashioned whodunit. While she's written everything from contemporary to paranormal her leading men will more than likely be wearing a uniform of some kind. From military to police officers, she has a love for writing about those who protect and serve. From her very first novel (which turned into a four book series) about Navy SEALs to her more recent releases you will be sure to find a few twists and turns you were not expecting.

She also has a recurring monthly column in Book & Trailer Showcase's eMagazine, and is a proud member of the Romance Books 4 Us Gold Authors.
