June Challenge ~ Spread the Contagious Kindness Cooties

Welcome to Romance Books 4 Us everyone. I'm your tour guide for the day, Nicole Morgan and as some of you may have noticed I drop by with a new post on the first of every month and either ramble like a fool or amaze you with my intellect. LOL. Okay, yes that last one was a stretch, but...I've got you smiling now, don't I? Now that you're good and loosened up, go ahead and kick your shoes off, sit back, relax and enjoy!

Lately I've been even more sparse in my postings than usual. I've had some things come up in my life both personally and professionally that have really thrown me for a loop and tossed a wrench into my schedule. I'm slowly getting things back on track and getting back into my writing, but during my time the ladies at RB4U and a few others as well not only offering me a shoulder to cry on, but sometimes an ear to vent to. Sometimes those gestures can mean more than the person offering it may realize.

And this brings me to my topic at hand for the day.  Kindness. Oh sure I know that I'm supposed to be putting up a post about writing or publishing or anything even loosely related to books, but this topic is important to me so just don't tell my other lovely co-authors at RB4U. Let's just keep this our little secret, okay?

*eyes you all suspiciously* Damn it! You're all going to rat me out aren't you? I'm kidding of course. But, let's face it there are some people out there in today's world who just aren't very nice. In fact you might even say some people are giant poopie butts! I know! The language I use, right?

But, I don't want to focus on the meanies of the world I want to focus on what we all can do together to make this world a better place. You heard me! I want this place to be happier than Disneyland when you're six years old. I want hugs and loves to be spread, not negativity. And the best part is being kind is the greatest gift you can offer someone that won't cost you a single cent. You can give it to friends, family or even a complete stranger. Kindness knows no limits and generates such happiness in others.

So, for the month of June...yes the entire month I am challenging everyone to spread joy and kindness to others. Whether it's a small as a smile or as grand as....well only you can decide that, but the important thing to remember is that kindness is contagious. It can infect even the grumpiest of bears.

Pass on the cooties and pay it forward!

Nicole Morgan is an author of erotic romance novels, which more often than not have a suspenseful back story. Erotic romance mixed with good old-fashioned whodunit. While she's written everything from contemporary to paranormal her leading men will more than likely be wearing a uniform of some kind. From military to police officers, she has a love for writing about those who protect and serve. From her very first novel (which turned into a four book series) about Navy SEALs to her more recent releases you will be sure to find a few twists and turns you were not expecting.

She also has a recurring monthly column in Book & Trailer Showcase's eMagazine, and is a proud member of the Romance Books 4 Us Gold Authors.

Nicole, what a fun blog. I love the kindness idea. I'm in. I'll try my best to spread kindness in June even with those idiots who drive like crazy people on the interstate.

Great blog, Nicole. We could definitely use a little more kindness in this world. :)

A wonderful blog, Nicole. I've missed you lately, and now I know why. I love the idea of kindness in our world. I belong to a group against bullying on FB.

You did a great job and kindness is needed in our books, too. Hugs!

I loved your post! Yes, I agree that we all need to pay it forward and will be doing my part--even as Cara suggested, with those people who drive like crazy on the interstate! Keep smiling:)

Wonderful post! I agree!

My students and I have spoken about "filling their buckets" and random acts of kindness. It was fun to overhear the students talking to each other about the time I bought breakfast for a stranger at McDonalds. Then the one child spoke about how someone did that for his family and it made him feel good. I love that we teach that to our students at a young age. They need to know that kindness is much more powerful than negatives!

Wonderful blog...that's the precept I try to live my life by. Even a stranger's life can be brightened if you walk around smiling instead of frowning..

Hi, Nicole: I had to laugh because a lady's dog escaped at Starbucks, I retrieved it while she went to buy her drink, and a man said to me to move my dog. Thinking I was being kind!!! I said, "It's not my dog." And I wondered why he didn't help.

Just being nice goes so far in the world. Saying thank you.

If we turn off TVs and don't read newspapers for a month, maybe everyone will feel less stressed and be kinder to one another.

I try to do this every day. Everyone should, it would be a better world. I love the concept. Be the pebble that starts the ripple.
