The stakes are both personal and galactic, and the bond between Thorn and Roxie offers hope in the midst of danger.
This is a book that will appeal to readers who love sci-fi romance, alien warrior stories, and tales of unexpected alliances and found family.

🚨 Why this is a scam
🟦 1. Graywolf Press is a legitimate publisher — but they do not solicit authors this way
If this is a reputable independent literary publisher with a long-standing history and a secure website (trust score 86.8/100) and is considered safe by ScamAdviser (trust score 100). And check if they actually publish your genre. This one didn't publish Science Fiction Romance, which is what the Chronicles of Arcon is.
🟥 2. The email uses classic vanity‑press scam markers
According to industry guidance on spotting vanity press scams:
Unsolicited contact
Overly flattering language
No mention of a real acquisitions process
No request for a manuscript sample
No discussion of rights, contracts, or editorial review
Offers to “outline the process” (usually meaning: fees) These are textbook red flags .
This email hits every single one.
🟥 3. The sender’s email is wrong
Graywolf Press staff use @graywolfpress.org addresses — never Gmail.
🟥 4. The content is suspiciously similar to the previous scam messages I have received, so I'm wary.
The scammers are:
Using your book titles
Repeating plot summaries
Pretending to be editors or agents

Do not reply.
Do not send manuscripts or sample chapters.
Do not click links or provide personal information.
Block the sender.
If you want, you can craft a polite refusal or report the scam.
