'So please, oh PLEASE, we beg, we pray
Go throw your TV set away,
And in its place you can install
A lovely book shelf on the wall.'

Love this quote from Roald Dahl.  Yes, I'm a book person. Except from the occasional program, I seldom watch TV.  But I compensate by enjoying totally crazy stuff. Here's some little known facts that might amuse you. I do hope so.

Half of all Americans live within 50 mile of their birthplace. (HUH?....not sure I believe this one.)

Most boat owners name their boat. The most popular boat name requested....Obsession.

If you spell out the numbers, how far would you have to go to find the letter "A"?
Answer:  One thousand

What do bulletproof vests, fire escapes, windshield wipers and laser printers have in common?
Answer: They were all invented by women.

The state with the highest percentage of people who walk to work: Alaska

The percentage of Africa that is wilderness; 28%
The percentage of North America that is wilderness; 38%

The cost of raising a medium size dog to the age of eleven: $16,400.

I love crazy, unexpected facts.  Hope you do too.. If you have a favorite do let me know. I find it hard to pick from this list.

My latest release, Guilty Secrets is doing well.  Since it's the book of my heart that pleases me immensely.  I've just finished first edits for my next release, Quest for Magic, which MuseItUp will be releasing soon. Maybe that's why I don't watch TV.... no time for anything but reading and writing.

Do let me know what your favorite fact is.... You can reach or find me at www.jeanhartstewart.com, jswriter@earthlink.net, MuseItUp, Amazon, Kobo, Barnes and Noble, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Or leave a comment.  I'd love to hear from you.
