New Years Resolutions by Janice Seagraves

I don't make New Years Resolutions anymore, but I do make goals for the coming year.

This year my goal is to self-publish two books: The first book is the sequel to my first published book-Windswept Shores: the Journey Home, and the second book will be Matrix Crystal River which will follow my series Matrix Crystal Hunters.

I hope to have at lest one of my contracted books published in 2016 in my Alien Heart Series.

Last year (2015), I had a list up where I could see it everyday that had all my goals for the year. I accomplished most of the goals, but not all. But it was a busy year for me. My daughter got married, hubby and I bought a home, we moved (my back still hurts thinking about the MOVE). Then my daughter had a baby, and my husband and I became first time grandparents. *grin*

This year I'll have to remake my list and place it once again where I can see it everyday. This helps me to stay on tract with my goals.

What are your goals or resolutions for the New Year?

  1. You sound like you had a wonderful year. I'm dreaming of a move... I want a log cabin in the woods. :) My daughter is getting married this year and hopefully next year, my son will graduate college. I know that life is too short not to live it as I want so this year, I left my full time job for a part time one where I could have more time with my family. Money was tight but we've had a great year.

I wish you a wonderful 2016! And hopefully you are done with the moves!

  2. I no longer make specific resolutions. Mostly just re-affirm my desire to hurt no one, inadvertently or not. And to write, of course.

  3. Hi Melissa,

Sounds like you're going to have a busy year in 2016. Good luck.

    Hi Jean,

    Those are good goals too.

This is a little early, but Happy New Year.

    Janice~

  4. I don't usually make resolutions but I do want to remember to drink the wine and eat the chocolate! I think I was so focused on just getting through some rough patches this year that I forgot to enjoy the small everyday pleasures that make life enjoyable. That's as close to a resolution as I will make this year:) Enjoy 2016, my friend.

  5. Congrats on all of your great news from last year ! I like the idea of making a goal list and keeping it close for inspiration and a guide. Might have to kidnap that idea and try for myself :)
