March is here...and today is called "the Ides of March"

Chateau de Cheverny

Of the many French castles/chateaus that exist to this day, Cheverny is one of the most picturesque. Owned and occupied by the same family since the day it was constructed over six centuries ago, this stunning French castle was opened to the public in 1922.

This romantic historic chateau is open from April through November for tours. Want to be married in a French castle? Want to attend a ball? Or just wander through the exquisite gardens and grounds, as well as the  castle itself?

For the admission price of 20 euros or less, you can take a trip through history. If you are planning to travel in Europe this summer, include this wonderful site in your itinerary.

Or, if you are an author, maybe you want to write this into a book with a dashing French prince...no...not fresh prince...French prince.

The castle opens to the public from April through November. And the flower gardens and kitchen gardens are a visual delight!

  3. What a beautiful garden... that looks like an amazing place to play. I do love visiting castles... having to sit in those tough chairs or heat the bajillion rooms.. not so much.
