#RB4U ~ It Wasn't My Fault with @AuthorNicMorgan

Welcome to Romance Books 4 Us everyone. I'm your tour guide for the day, Nicole Morgan and as some of you may have noticed I drop by with a new post on the first of every month and either ramble like a fool or amaze you with my intellect. LOL. Okay, yes that last one was a stretch, but...I've got you smiling now, don't I? Now that you're good and loosened up, go ahead and kick your shoes off, sit back, relax and enjoy!

It Wasn't My Fault!!

Before I defend myself I'd like to give you all the backstory so you can all see without a shadow of a doubt that it was so totally not my fault

You see, last week my 17yo daughter was running low on some of her makeup essentials. Now we could have gone to Target, Walmart or even Macy's to get her a few things, but I happened to see a commercial that Victoria's Secret was having their semi-annual sale (remember this for later as it will help prove my case that it was not my fault). So, we go to Victoria's Secret and to our surprise we find out that they are discontinuing their make-up and all cosmetics as well as select bath, body and fragrance is 75% off. Obviously we couldn't walk out of the store without stocking up on some things. I mean it was 75% off. It would have been crazy to not stock up on things.

I didn't feel too guilty that night since I know I got some good deals. But... yes, you knew there would be a but in here somewhere didn't you? Well, later the next day I realized that since I've committed myself to a reader convention that some of those goodies would make awesome giveaways for readers. So... yes, you guessed it. I went back. But again... in my defense it was 75 freaking percent off!

Fast forward a couple of hours and I'm leaving Victoria's Secret for the second time in as many days when I see a sign across the courtyard. It would appear that Bath & Body Works were also having a 75% off/semi-annual sale. Again... we're talking 75% here people. So I really didn't have any choice but to go in there. It was 75% off!!!

Well, I ended up coming home that day with 2 very large bags and lots of goodies. My fiance Zac - who I love and adore - was very understanding but I know he was thinking... seriously, babe... don't you think you've overdone it. But rather than say it, he was supportive of my money saving shopping spree.

When all was said and done I spent over $100 on goodies for the reader and probably $90 more than I should have. But... I must remind you... it was not my fault! The signs said 75% off for crying out loud! I had no choice. Truly I didn't. To prove my point... In case I didn't mention it, the sale was 75% off!

and one hell of a sale!

  6. 75% off is a deal! And you know that you can write those off if you are giving them away! So I'm glad to point out that you weren't being silly, just frugal!

Now I'm wondering if I have to go shopping! Loved the post!

  7. Hey it was 75% off. A friend, who is a total shopper, never looks at anything under 60% off - so 75% is a deal. and look at all the great stuff you got. :)
    And it was fun.

  8. Nicole, I always enjoy your posts. And it was totally NOT YOUR FAULT. What self-respecting woman walks out on a 75% off sale? Not me. And not you.
