It's Alive!

I don't know how many of you will know the above reference is to an old Frankenstein movie, but it's certainly appropriate for how I'm feeling at the moment. Remember that nasty flu everyone was worried about last winter? Well, I managed to avoid it all winter, but caught it two weeks ago. Today is the first I've felt really semi-human again. And I even managed to do some writing yesterday - the first in over a week.

Although I couldn't stand looking at the computer screen for more than a few minutes, I did manage to read three books. Maybe only a few pages at a time, but it was nice to live in someone else's world for a while. Unfortunately, the books I read were still for work (I write reviews for the bookstore where I work). One I enjoyed a lot(a middle-school paranormal mystery), one not so much(older teen paranormal), and one - a paranormal romance anthology - fell somewhere in the middle.

Just before I fell ill, I did manage to finish the third story in my "The Chosen" trilogy and sent it off to my editor. My erotic short story, The Chosen, will shortly have a prequel and a sequel to it all three of which will eventually be published in an anthology. I'm really excited about it. I had fun writing about Tessa, Selena, Malena and their men and will miss that world I created for them.

Though maybe there's another story waiting in there somewhere. Meanwhile, I've new stories to write for the "Aces and Eights" world and am excited to revisit that world. You can check out Captiva Press for all the info on them. But right now, I think another nap is calling me. Or at the very least, another book to read.

  2. Glad you are alive :) I think I know how you feel. About a month ago I got something, guess it was the flu, I kept telling everyone I felt like I had been poisoned. I have never been that sick in my whole life!!!

    Just take it slow!!!

  3. Isn't it funny how you make it through the winter, and then BAM right in the middle of Summer.

Glad to see you feeling better.
