It's pretty much the only promo I do. I hold contests occasionally. I enjoy interacting with readers. I notice a small bump in sales whenever I publish my newsletter. Small, but at least it's something. Many of the subscribers signed up only to enter contests (FB contests run by a promo group for me). Because some signed up only for the contests, I lose a subscriber or two whenever a newsletter goes out. But then, I gain some too, so it works out. I'm a film junkie so I include a movie or TV review in every newsletter. I'm also a foodie, and I include a recipe in every newsletter. I'm subscribed to other author newsletters and I always open and read them. My newsletters have close to 50% open rate. Knowing how important open rates are, I make sure to open each author newsletter I receive. Suzanne, I just signed up for yours under my real name. Sorry. I deleted my original comment in error.Cara Marsihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05384839120633419382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5742415355016995707.post-82415276117440858962016-04-30T09:58:37.032-04:002016-04-30T09:58:37.032-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Cara Marsihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05384839120633419382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5742415355016995707.post-60936722907119934642016-04-30T08:02:03.155-04:002016-04-30T08:02:03.155-04:00Hi...I don't have a newsletter as an author be...Hi...I don't have a newsletter as an author because as a reader, I hate them. Even authors that I adore, I don't have time to read the newsletter. I go to Amazon and follow them there and see what they have coming out that way as well as reading any blog updates. :)Melissa Keirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10247037321769755660noreply@blogger.com
