While the popular concern still tends to be that indie ebook authors have to compete with a tsunami of "drek," the real issue is that now, and in the future, you'll be competing with a tsunami of higher-quality indie ebooks. Indie authors are realizing that in order for their books to sell, they have to be just as good--if not better--than books coming out of major publishing houses.
