I tend to be more fastidious than many and quite a few scenes in many of the current titles give me an 'eww' reaction but I figure there is something for everyone.ELFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00507018016608103452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5742415355016995707.post-61396704798014673942013-01-13T21:21:17.354-05:002013-01-13T21:21:17.354-05:00A fun and funny list.

When I'm that angry it takes more than 5 minutes for me to get over it.

I don't care if the hero is an alpha-hole at times, as long as the heroine calls him on it. And he needs a sense of humor or at least moments of uncertainty to balance his large and in charge self!

Thanks for sharing,
Cathryn CadeCathryn Cadehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10714037225684245673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5742415355016995707.post-50672747162047881922013-01-13T19:18:44.916-05:002013-01-13T19:18:44.916-05:00Cara, you just explained my main pet peeve:) Than...Cara, you just explained my main pet peeve:) Thank you!

And yes, with the whole shifter thing...is there so such thing as FEAR when your loved one is suddenly sprouting fangs/tail/excessive body hair? One peeve I have is misused words where words sound alike but are spelled differently due to their meanings. Like farther and further. That's my biggest word use pet peeve. Use an editor or a friend with a good eye. I love Regencies, but was everyone a duke in those days? I find I get irritated after reading yet another Regency where the hero is a duke. I also don't like heroines who are stubborn to a fault--a woman who does stupid things that almost get her killed because the hero told her she shouldn't do it, and God forbid she should listen to him. Or heroines who are so emotionally closed and proud to a fault.Cara Marsihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05384839120633419382noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5742415355016995707.post-52797564460952146492013-01-13T15:59:24.484-05:002013-01-13T15:59:24.484-05:00Good ones, Harlie!Good ones, Harlie!Cindy Spencer Papehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01583236494759465431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5742415355016995707.post-59136071665651906112013-01-13T15:47:37.946-05:002013-01-13T15:47:37.946-05:00One more:

Not every single one of them was born to marry or hang out with the Ton. Some of them actually had jobs.

Marika/HarlieHarlie Williamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01866226921079232570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5742415355016995707.post-79049514178502053022013-01-13T15:45:49.589-05:002013-01-13T15:45:49.589-05:00Your list is almost perfect. :)
Here are mine:
...Your list is almost perfect. :)

Here are mine:

1. In a ménage, I would like the characters to get to know each other first. I know its "fantasy" but seriously? Unless its a BDSM scene at a club, let's get to know each other first. Most people don't do this unless they are completely drunk or doped up.

2. The overuse of BDSM as a whole. I blame 50 Shades for this and I'm tired.

3. Heroine's running from something or someone. In a RS that is perfectly fine with me but not in a contemporary.

4. Please, please for the love of anything holy...if your hero is Alpha, don't make him an asshole! Lately, so many Alpha males have left me cold. I would have bitch slapped him by Chapter 2 and left him.

Marika/HarlieHarlie Williamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01866226921079232570noreply@blogger.com
