Love is between two people, but they don't have to be a man and a woman. It can be man/man, or woman/woman, but even those aren't the only kinds of love.
There is the love of a father and mother for their daughters and sons, the love of children for their parents, love between siblings and other relatives. There is love for a pet, or the pet's love for you? All of these types of love can be used in our stories.

I can go on and on with more definitions, but if you're
interested you can go to my source and read it for yourself. Source: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/love
Author's of nearly all genres show love in their stories. Even in books about espionage there is sex
and love affairs in them. Love is needed
in our stories to show the growth of the characters in their lives. You write a story about a soldier home from
war suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, and he's going to have to grow
past the trauma by someone, or something coming into their lives giving them
love.
Love is something everyone needs, and if they don't get it
they become stunted as people and maybe something much worse.
My wish for all is to have someone or something to love and
for you to receive the love back.
See you again May 29th.

Enjoyed reading your post, Sandy! Thanks for sharing.
Great post, Sandy. Yeah, we definitely need love. Respect, too. And kindness, consideration of others. The internet has allowed bullying and meanness to reach new heights. Not a good thing.
I enjoyed the post! I love the way romance authors explore the many facets of love. Makes life interesting:)
Hi, Sandy! You wrote so many wonderful things. Such a pleasure to read this fine morning. Thank you.
Good way to start the morning. Love is certainly as necessary as food, at least some variety of it. Doesn't have to be sexual...it's all nice.
Thank you, Tina. The bullying is just horrible these days. It's sad.
Paris, I think authors exploring love is much like real life only we have a HEA.
Thanks, Vicki, I appreciate your kind words. Sometimes, I wonder if I bore people. lol
Jean, you're right love is as necessary as food.
