With Thanksgiving days away, most of us
take the time to reflect on those things we’re most thankful for. I give thanks
for my husband and son, and that we’re all healthy. I’m thankful we have enough
food to eat and roofs over our heads.
However, I thought it would be fun to
list other more simple, even silly, things I’m thankful for. Here’s my list, in no particular
order.
·
The
Zombie Apocalypse hasn’t happened yet
·

Mison on Sleepy Hollow. He’s not your
grandmom’s Ichabod Crane.

I could go on and on but then I'd never finish this blog. Below is Tom Mison and the cast from Sleepy Hollow. See why I'm thankful for him? What simple, silly things are you thankful for?
My latest release, A Groom for Christmas, is like a Hallmark Christmas movie, with some intense love scenes. If Hallmark made a movie of it, I'd want Tom Mison to play Jake Falco, The Falcon.
Here's the blurb:
When
a young woman hires her hometown’s former bad boy to be her pretend fiancé for
the holidays, she finds she can’t wrap up her feelings as easily as a Christmas
gift.
Jake Falco, man of
many mysteries, is back in town on a mission—one the people of Spirit Lake most likely won't appreciate. When
Graceann presents him with her crazy scheme, it gives him something he's always
wanted—a chance to get to know Graceann.
It also gives him the perfect opportunity to add fuel to his project of
revenge.
But as Jake and
Graceann grow closer, their engagement-of-convenience begins to feel like the
real deal—until Jake’s secrets are revealed.
Can a relationship
that began with lies and secrets bloom like a rare Christmas rose into
happily-ever-after?

I'm really thankful for hubby and family the most because they're always there when others leave you.
For the silly things, I'm thankful for laughter and girlfriends. The crazy things we've done together. For scooter rides with hubby and wind in our faces.
A Groom for Christmas sounds wonderful. I love stories like this. :)
Cute post Cara. I've been blessed with wonderful family and friends and for that I'm truly thankful.
Cute post... I'm thankful for so many things I'd bore you to death listing them all. Everybody have a great day...
What a great list! I love Sleepy Hollow. I'm thankful that I have wonderful friends like all of you!
Thank you, Sandy, Tina, Rose, Jean, and Melissa. We all have much to be thankful for. Sometimes is the little things that give us great pleasure.
Love your list...some of my favorites are there (did I mention chocolate??).
Good luck with your books!
Hmm...good question. I suppose the silly thing I'm thankful for is being able to admire all the beautiful men who grace our covers and profess it's all necessary research -- part of our job :-)
The serious things I'm thankful for are my undying loyal fans who continue to support me in amazing ways, my fellow authors who are so generous and gracious, and my darling family who understands the hard work I endure to continuing writing.
Happy Thanksgiving to you Cara!
Thank you, Marianne and Renee. We all have wonderful things to be thankful for. Renee, I share your pain at having to admire all those handsome hunks on our covers.
I didn't make it yesterday, but I'm here today to say I am thankful for everything in my life. The sunset, the sunrise, family and friends. Perhaps hardest to say I'm thankful for is the hard lessons that have made me wiser and more patient. Thanks for asking, Cara. I like your list - I can chime in on a lot of those and now I have to check out Sleepy Hollow!
Thanks,Gemma. And please do check out Sleepy Hollow. Tom Mison is swoon-worthy.
