Protect And Serve

Consistent with the last few posts on superbundles and boxed sets, we've just launched one this week that has been rockin' the charts, Protect and Serve. Several months ago, a bunch of us were brainstorming to create something new: a combination of heroes from multiple walks of life. Firefighters, cops, Navy SEALs, covert spies and everything in between. We got alpha heroes like you've never seen before and why can we say this?

Because all the novellas in this anthology are brand new material.

Like most boxed sets, we started this one out at .99. Launch day and thereafter we had the #1 Romance Anthology in Mystery and Suspense, Mystery Anthologies and Collections, and more. We are still listed as the #1 requested anthology on Amazon and in the Hot New Releases in 3 categories.
I think readers love this blending of heroes. Here's our author note/mission statement:

We dedicate this anthology to the brave men and women who risk their lives each and every day so we all can enjoy our freedom--freedom to walk the streets, freedom to speak our minds, freedom to write the stories we love. Without you, these stories wouldn't be possible.

For that, we thank you.

So make sure your e-reader is fully charged, grab yourself some refreshment, and curl up to read these brand new, never even been seen before stories. Your new book boyfriends await...

It is appropriate, especially now, with police being the focus of cowardly acts by deranged people, firemen risking their lives to battle blazes in Hell itself, that we celebrate heroes of all kinds. We celebrate those heroes who sacrifice much and perhaps do not come home in the same condition as they left. So, we have wounded heroes, heroes unlucky in love, heroes finding love for the first time, heroes who do the tough jobs and then try not bring those stresses home to their families.

As a marketing tool, giving us cross promotion, it has been brilliant. Here are some of the comments:

"...a solid collection of stories that introduced me to some great new (to me) authors!" --Kelly M., Amazon Review

"With 11 short stories or novellas to choose from be sure and read them all." --Michelle Robinson Shealy, Amazon Review

"...I have discovered some new authors to read...I highly recommend you give this set a try!" --LeahHines, Amazon Review

"I couldn't put it down...well worth the late night reading session!" --Kelli Heneghan, Amazon Review
This has been an experiment for me. Most of the women in this set I've never even met, and never been in a collection with. Most of their fans are now new fans of mine, and vice versa. It's something I definitely would do again. This will be the 12th boxed set I've been in since 2013, and in many ways, the most satisfying because all of us truly came with something unique and special and never before released. I hope you'll give us a try.
Protect and Serve Contributors and their books
Sharon’s NYT and USA Today bestselling novels are almost-erotic Navy SEAL stories of the SEAL Brotherhood. Her characters follow a spicy road to redemption through passion and true love. All of her SEAL Brotherhood Series are available in audio book. She has maintained an Amazon top 100 author status in Romantic Suspense since the end of 2012.

Her Golden Vampires of Tuscany are not like any vamps you’ve read before, since they don’t have to go to ground, and can walk around in the full light of the sun. Honeymoon Bite, Book 1 of the Golden Vampires of Tuscany Series, has earned the Amazon designation of #1 Gothic Romance. It and Book 2 in the series, Mortal Bite are both available on audio as well.

Her Guardian Angels struggle with the human charges they are sent to save, often escaping their vanilla world of Heaven for the brief human one. You won’t find any of these beings in any Sunday school class. All three books in this popular series are also in print and audio formats.

A lifelong organic gardener, Sharon lives with her husband in the Wine Country of Northern California, where most of her stories take place. When she’s not writing, she’s getting verra verra dirty in the mud, or wandering Farmer’s Markets looking for new Heirloom varieties of vegetables and flowers.

Thanks, Julie. I agree, very smart. I'd gotten "boxed in" feeling and am so glad I took a chance on this group. I've enjoyed some new-to-me authors too. And Yay! so glad I could bring more people into your world, Julie!
