My ideal Valentine’s dinner is not the usual red heart and chocolate feast. But just a winter’s flight of fancy, and my idea of a lovely way to warm up.
Who wouldn’t get excited just dreaming of their ideal romantic dinner? February can be dreary and it’s a great month to go on vacation and find your ideal dinner, even if it’s only in your imagination. The setting is all important to me, almost more than the food. And the setting can be only one place… on a white sandy beach. No black sand, please, that never sounds real even though I know it is. I like the white sand with a hot tropical sun making it seem even whiter. Palm trees are definitely swaying overhead, and warm breezes stir the hair of my lover. What a wonderful way to spend February!
Gotta have both handsome beach boys and beautiful native girls as enthusiastic servers. A little flirtation on their part wouldn’t hurt. Nothing like a few surreptitious pats to get the juices flowing. There are no dishes for this meal, just papaya leaves and your fingers.
As to the menu, I wouldn’t need much besides tall, icy mai-tais. Definitely pineapples halved and the fruit mixed with papayas and mangoes, and then scooped back into the pineapples shells. Naturally meat has been roasting in a fire pit, along with sweet potatoes. It’s delicious stuff, but with the mai-tais I don’t really care. My lover and I are lightly touched with lingering fingers throughout the meal by the servers as they tend to us, so food is starting to take second place. As they remove the last of the food my lover takes my hand and draws me to my feet. So far he has done nothing but send me incinerating glances, and my blood heats even further.
He motions imperiously for the servers to leave us. And they do, forming pairs that are caressing each other even as they walk away. There’s no doubt they’ll soon be seeking privacy to find their own completion.
No matter about them. My lover is taking a piece of pineapple, dipping it in the mai-tai and and dripping it on me wherever he can reach. He kisses the juice off each spot with lingering lips.
And now I think you can write the rest of this blog yourself.
Hope you enjoyed my flight of fancy. My books can be found at all the usual places, and although I have four more scheduled to come out this year from Muse It Up, none of them contain quite this scene. Lots of other stuff you might enjoy though...
