Lose the Stress on Date Night - Make it FUN!

Welcome to Romance Books 4 Us everyone. I'm your tour guide for the day, Nicole Morgan and as some of you may have noticed I drop by with a new post on the first of every month and either ramble like a fool or amaze you with my intellect. LOL. Okay, yes that last one was a stretch, but...I've got you smiling now, don't I? Now that you're good and loosened up, go ahead and kick your shoes off, sit back, relax and enjoy!

Lose the Stress on Date Night - Make it FUN!

For today's topic I wanted to talk about something that many of us can probably relate to, and something that I've touched on frequently in my Thirsty Thursday segments... I'm talking about ways to keep your relationship fresh, adventurous, spontaneous and most of all FUN!!!

With the summer months upon us, many of us will be taking advantage of the nice weather. We'll want to get out more, and enjoy the enticing time spring and summer. But, how many of us get caught up in the extravagance of dating? You can easily drop $100 just by going out to dinner and a movie these days. Personally there are a million other things I'd like to do than get all dressed up for some fancy dinner. Sure these romantic outings have their place, but you have to let loose and be carefree sometimes as well.

Below are a few things that you can do as a couple without breaking the bank.

  • Do you like guns? Why not go to the shooting range as a couple? One or two hours on the
range letting off some steam and practicing your skills are a great way to bond as a couple. Plus, who's to say you couldn't have a little wager? Maybe a bet over who gets the best shot. Then winner could get.... well, that part would be up for you two to decide.

  • Forget about those $200 seats behind the dugout. Go to the box office and buy a couple of
the cheap seats. Stop at the grocery store on the way to the ballpark and get your snacks at a fraction of the cost what you would pay in the ballpark. Pick up some peanuts, Cracker Jacks or whatever else you might crave. Bring enough cash for at least one meal item (hot dog, bratwurst, etc.) and a few drinks for each of you. Then while you're there, HAVE FUN! And don't forget to take a snap shot so you can remember the day!

  • Forget about the expensive golf clubs in the garage. Grab your honey and go to the local
miniature golf adventure course. This is also a place where you can have some fun with who has the better shot. After you've completed the course, do it again! RELATED TIP: Those little putters are good tools for goosing someone when they bend over. Just sayin' *winks*

  • Feeling hungry? Grab a bite to eat somewhere you've never been before. Don't go to the
same Italian place. Don't visit the same sports bar. Go to a diner, a cafe, something which is the opposite of fancy, the kind of place where the only frills is the person sitting right across from you. Then after dinner, don't rush home. Go for a drive and find somewhere to park! Turn up the music and see where the mood takes you. RELATED TIP: Watch for cops, some things are not okay in public. *winks*

  • This is the last one, but it's my favorite! Order dinner in. The meal doesn't matter. It could
be pizza, Chinese, sandwiches or wings! The food isn't the important part, but what you do is. Next, get a deck of cards or a board game. Again, the game doesn't matter, but how you use it will be. Although, I do recommend a game of Scrabble. Try it with only using flirty or sexual words! *winks* Once the dinner gets there start eating and let the games begin. Don't go too fast. Have fun and just like some of my other ideas above, don't forget to place a wager!

That's all for me this months, guys and gals.
I'll see you here next month,

Same bat time...Same bat channel.

I love your post, too, Nicole. All of those ideas are wonderful. It doesn't always cost a bundle of money to enjoy time together with hubby, or significant other.

Hubby and I love to take off on his Burgman and spend the day riding the back paths. I have been on him to take me to the shooting range. I think he's afraid I'll show him up. lol Actually, it does cost a bit to go there.

Those are great ideas. Too bad I'm way past the dating game. The post brings up old memories, though, and I enjoyed it.

I love the fun ideas. Hubby and I like to go to lunch then skip dinner. Reading to each other is another wonderful fun thing to do.

Thanks for the fun ideas for date night! We enjoy date nights in, watching a movie or a game of Mahjong and some of our favorite snacks. Another fun date is prowling through antique stores and then having lunch at a diner or bistro we haven't tried yet.
