My Non-Announcement:(

I was soooooo hoping I'd be announcing a release date for Class Reunion this month!  But sadly, no word yet on that occasion.  But I will tempt you with an excerpt farther down in this post:)

What are my goals this year?
-As many of you know, I spent most of November finally writing!  I know; isn't that what I've already been doing?  *Looks around to make sure no one's coming at me with any solid objects*  No, I've spent the last two years revising and cleaning up 10-20 year-old manuscripts and getting them published.  I've not written a single original word since *looks around again* last May, when I took a break and worked on my Zombie story.  Which still isn't finished.  Hey, my daughter brought a child into the world.  Then my mom had surgery.  And I did a lot of promotion this summer and fall.  And a lot of reading.

How did I get off track?  Oh yeah.....as soon as I get this next wip (AU #7) cleaned up and submitted, and after edits on #5 and #6 are finished/released, I'm getting back to writing book #8.  I'd just reached the part where the book was writing itself, when NaNo was over.  But I've left it at a 'good' place, so it shouldn't be too hard to pick up where I left off.  If I moan about writer's block in March, someone please send me this paragraph??  LOL...

-My sales were better than in previous years, so I'm going to strive to increase them somehow.  Even if they increase by one per month, I'll be thrilled. (Sales from gifts I send don't count, do they?  Darn it...)

-Shake loose of Publisher B, and re-submit my book to Publisher C.  Find out if Pub A wants to publish last book subbed, or can I send it to C also?

-Exercise more and lose a few pounds.  I've already changed my eating habits a little, and in two weeks, I've maintained.  But it's been cold, and I don't exercise well outside when the temps are below 55.  So will start up the daily walk again probably after Easter.  My house is too unstable for me to start 'Sweating To The Oldies' again, lol!  (Yes, I have all 4 tapes on VHS....AND a VCR/DVD combo....sigh....)

-Reclaim my basement and move everything to storage, so when we move it will be easier.  Our house is falling down around us (rental), and simply put, I've put up with being crammed into this 2 BRM too long.

Okay, enough of that.  Want to see something pretty?  Here's my new cover for book #5, Endless Love:

Blurb:

Caitlyn McCarty plans to marry her high school sweetheart, Bryan Johnson, and teach elementary school after graduating from Arbor University.  But after Bryan's life turns upside down with an unexpected turn of events, Caty begins to question her goals and every decision she’s ever made.

Peter Criswell fell for green-eyed, opinionated Caitlyn when he first met her.  However, her determination to hold onto a dream frustrates him.  Sometimes you meet the right person at the wrong time, and falling for a woman who’s caught between her parents’ wants versus her own desires isn’t always easy.

When the foundation of Bryan Johnson’s relationship with Caitlyn is tested not once, but twice, he faces the possibility of losing the only girl he’s loved since high school.  When Caty does make up her mind, will she stand by her man or run into the arms of another?

Sound good?  It's supposed to be released in Feb, but I have a sneaking suspicion it may be later.  I'll keep you posted.

Now for the excerpt.  Since yesterday was technically 'Brian' and 'Natalie's' collective birthdays, here's that conversation:  Reminding you of the cover again:

Blurb:

After being burned pretty badly by two different women in his past, Brian Vellinger has sworn off romance. Commitment-shy for the past fifteen years, he is stunned by his sudden attraction to a woman he's not seen since the last day of their senior year.

Natalie Collier thinks she's successfully put Brian Vellinger out of her mind. After harboring a secret crush all through high school and into college, she is both alarmed and thrilled when Brian makes his intentions known at their 25th class reunion. But will she succeed in softening his casual, 'sex only' policy, or will she end up just another notch on his belt?

Excerpt:
Natalie fished in her purse for a pen. “I don’t know, Brian…what if I can’t make it back in January?”

Brian looked up in surprise. “You were born in January? What date?”

“The eighteenth.”

“No way…that’s my birthday!”

Natalie produced her driver’s license. “See?”

“I’ll be damned. I never knew that.”

“See there?” Amber broke in. “You come home and lunch is on the house.”
“Not dinner? I was hoping for that chicken and goat cheese dish you make. The one with the excellent sauce.”
“You don’t bring a special lady here for her birthday dinner.” Amber smacked his arm in a playful manner. “You take her to Ruth Chris Steakhouse. Am I right?” She directed the question to Natalie, who agreed with her.
Brian looked sideways at both women. “Thanks, Amber. I really appreciate you telling us how to spend our birthday.”

Coming soon from Freya's Bower:)

See you next month!
