Interview of Model/Actor Billy Freda!

Today it’s my pleasure to present an interview of multi-talented Billy Freda. His career encompasses many avenues; cover model, actor, fitness model, co-owner of a fitness gym, entertainment host and producer. Definitely a man of many talents!

Where to find information about Billy Freda:
http://www.billfreda.com

Q: You have a degree in Engineering from Rutgers…my husband received his Master’s Degree there! Have you used that degree?
A: I was actually in technical sales and process consulting for about 7 years prior to going into entertainment full time.

Q: Tell us how you got involved in modeling and your first shoot.
A: My college girlfriend noticed an ad for male models needed. I went and booked the job! It was my first shoot and it was a fitness shoot. It was a little studio, and to be honest, I had no idea what to expect. Ironically, it was that photographer that submitted my photos, years later, to the Mr. Romance Competition, and that’s how I got into cover modeling.

Q: You are also a host for Fashion Network. What did you do there?
A: I host some of their special events, but mostly I cover NY Fashion week twice a year for them.

Q: With all the directions you’ve taken with your career, is there one job you’ve thought about trying but haven’t attempted?
A: Not really…..I’m already a little scattered, and prefer to stay primarily in acting.

Q: You posed for a half-torso cast at South Beach Body Casting. Can you describe the process?
A: LOL, Quite long and messy! If I remember correctly, they use a plaster that dentists use. First, I was wrapped in a gauze so the plaster didn’t stick to my skin. You have to try and stay flexed for as long as possible, so that as it dries, it captures the muscle definition. It was a little uncomfortable, but not too bad!

Q: You’re a former “Mr. Romance” (2003). Tell us about the competition. What was the atmosphere among all the contestants?
A: Well, as you may, or may not know, the Mr. Romance competition has been removed from RT this year, and I think it will be missed. It was a very fun atmosphere and some of the guys got close. We really worked together and I think we were happy for each other whoever the winners were. I’ve stayed friends with some of the guys from that year. As a matter of fact, I just shot with Brooks Johnson last week.

Q: You have a wonderful and long resume of your fabulous career. What will be added next to your list of accomplishments?
A: Series regular when my TV pilot gets picked up, or series regular on a sitcom.

Q: How do you stay in shape? Daily routine? Do you do something different for modeling shoots?
A: I use to train differently before shoots, but after modeling for over 13 years, I just maintain what I have. (They get me the way I am, or they don’t have to take me lol). I work out 4 days a week….3 days weights, 1 day cardio training. Like I said I’m just maintaining now.

Q: Favorite food?
A: Sushi!!

Q: Favorite drink?
A: I’m have a glass right now……Sauvignon Blanc wine!

Q: What would you consider to be the most romantic place in the world…just so we might get some travel ideas?
A: My bedroom! Honestly, any quiet tropical beach!!

Hi Billy,

Love the interview. Thanks again for wanting to put me in touch with Lenell.

That's what makes you so special. Your a good hearted man with a beautiful smile.

I so enjoyed meeting you at Lori Foster's this year. It look's like I'm going to have watch out for the Ms. Renee. She keeps telling me your hers, lol.

I do wish you the very best in all that you do, and I hope our paths cross again. I also hope they bring back the Mr. Romance Contest.

I hope to see you on that TV series or on that sitcom.
Hugs,

Teresa K.
